Is TeenScreen Free?
TeenScreen says yes...but we found their cached pages of the actual costs to the schools depending on which "screening model" the school chooses... (it appears TeenScreen intentionally wiped these original pages out, but not before we were able to save copies of them via Google's cached pages feature). The graphics that were originally on the pages are no longer available.

Model #4
Guidance Counselor Model

With the Guidance Counselor Model, screening is incorporated into the school’s guidance responsibilities, and members of the guidance staff administer the Voice DISC to students identified by their own staff, teachers, parents or students themselves.  Referrals for further evaluation or treatment are made based on the results of the Voice DISC interview. This model differs from the collaborative model in that the guidance counselors themselves administer the Voice DISC with this model.

Screening Stats
5 Students Per Week
160 Students Per Year

The typical school year is nine months long, but students spend only eight months in class due to vacations and holidays.  With one computer, four guidance counselors can each screen a minimum of two students per week, which would equate to a total of 256 students screened per school year.
